Brian Crawford takes his construction company to a different level


Brian Crawford’s construction career started early and advanced quickly.

At 16, he started working for his father Stanley Crawford’s home-building business in Lake City. At 18 he had his general contractor’s license.

After studying theology and philosophy at Criswell College, a small Christian school in Dallas, Texas, in 2004, he returned home in his early 20s to start his own home-building company. He intended to save some money and finish his degree in philosophy at Florida State University at the same time.

His business — and a hot housing market — had other ideas.
